WEIGHT CLASSES and AGES
8U DIVISION (Born in 2012 and after):
WEIGHTS: 41, 46, 51, 56, 61, 66, 86 MAX.
11U DIVISION (Born in 2011, 2010, 2009):
WEIGHTS: 55, 61, 68, 75, 84, 93, 103, 134 MAX.
14U DIVISION (Born in 2008, 2007, 2006):
WEIGHTS: 70, 78, 86, 95, 105, 115, 130, 170 MAX.
19U DIVISION (Born in 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001) must NOT be a HS graduate:
WEIGHTS: 96, 103, 110, 118, 125, 132, 140, 148, 158, 175, 190, 250 MAX.
EVERYONE MUST COMPETE IN THEIR OWN AGE DIVISION EXCEPT THOSE WHO EXCEED THE MAXIMUM WEIGHT
LENGTH OF BOUTS: 8U and 11U: Three 1~minute periods. 14U and 19U: Three 1 ½ minute periods. Overtime sudden death: One 1~minute period followed by a 30~second period if necessary.
WRESTLING RULES: Modified P.I.A.A. rules; P.I.A.A. officials will be used. Everyone must have proof of age if challenged, including the person issuing the challenge. Any entrant who falsifies information on an application to enter a MAWA Tournament will be subject to a one~year suspension from the program, effective immediately upon discovery. NOTE: Wrestlers in the GIRLS ONLY divisions may compete in multiple Regional Tournaments for 2020. No pre~qualification is necessary at the District Level in the GIRLS ONLY divisions to enter the Regional Tournaments.
AWARDS: Medals will be given to the top four finishers in each weight class.
UNIFORM: One~piece singlets or two~piece uniforms are required. HEADGEAR IS MANDATORY, an approved hair wrap must be used if deemed necessary by an official.

The top SIX place winners in the Regional Tournament advance to the Middle Atlantic Wrestling Association’s Eastern National Championships on May 02 and May 03 at Wicomico Civic Center, Salisbury, MD, including Open Division. There will be a $20.00 advancement fee collected at the Regional Tournament. An additional 1 lb. weight allowance (2 lb. total) will be given at the Eastern National Championships.
