TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:

 When: Sunday, December 8 th, 2019

Weigh~ins: Saturday, Dec 7th, 6 :00 – 8:00 pm and Sunday, Dec 8 th, 7:00 – 8:00 am & 11:30~12:30 PM (at Catoctin High)

(Weight class changes will NOT be allowed the day of the tournament)

Wrestling starts: Staggered Start ~~ (Up to 7 mats will be used….No Breaks!)

9:30 am for 7 & Under and 12~14 Year Olds (8 TH grade and under. NO 9 th graders)

1:30 pm for 8 & 9 and 10~11 Year Olds

Entrance: Registration will close after 500 wrestlers are entered so register early!

Entry fee: $22 if registered by Wednesday Nov 27th

$27 if registered after Wednesday Nov 27th and before midnight Thursday Dec 5th

Admission: $5 – Adult

$2 – Student (5 yrs and under~Free)

Awards: Trophies will be given to the top 4 finishers in each weight class.

Team point system. Top 3 teams will be given trophies. Team points will be

based on the 12 wrestlers from each team at the end of competition. No extra fees apply.

Food: Cafeteria with huge selection will be open all day. **Including Breakfast!!

Vendor on~site offering Tourney T~Shirt and other wrestling attire.

Divisions/Weights (age as of 12/8/19– proof of age must be available if challenged)

7 and under: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70 HWT (MAX 80)

8 & 9: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 105, HWT (MAX 120)

10 & 11: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 108, 115, 122, 130, HWT (max 150)

12~14 (8 th grade and under): 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 102, 108, 114, 120, 126, 132, 138, 144, 150, HWT (max 190)

TOURNAMENT RULES:

• Maryland Folkstyle. Brackets are full double elimination.
• Wrestlers can enter more than 1 age division, but not 2 weight classes in the same age division – additional entry fee will apply.
• No guaranteed rest period between matches.
• All periods are 1~1~1 (OT – 1, :30)
• Headgear is recommended, singlets are recommended. Singlets must not have any inappropriate sayings or pictures on them.
• Tournament director reserves the right to combine weight classes with less than 3 entrants. Will do our best to notify affected wrestlers by phone prior to the tournament.
• If you have a skin disorder you must have a doctor’s permission slip available stating the type of disorder and that you are not Contagious or you will not be allowed to participate.
• Wrestler may move up one (1) weight class (but not down) if he/she does not make registered weight at Saturday weigh~in.
• Wrestlers must make Registered Weight at Sunday Weigh~In.
