33rd ANNUAL LAUREL WRESTLING TOURNAMENT

Weigh-ins: January 26, 2018 – 6:00pm to 7:30pm in Weight Room at LMHS

January 27, 2018 – 6:30am to 8:30am. Wrestling will begin promptly at 9:30am.

Tournament Information: The maximum number of wrestlers for this event is 350 entries and is strictly enforced. Do not miss your opportunity to win the championship belt! For wrestlers who want to take home two belts, an additional entry fee and form will be required. Wrestlers entering two divisions must be ready to wrestle when called upon. No weight changes after 1/24/18. REFUNDS will require a medical note. Wrestling will take place in two gyms on 5 mats. As divisions finish, the mats will open to other divisions still competing. We WILL NOT make fans and competitors wait around to wrestle due to small weight class sizes. The gym assignments are determined by the size of the divisions and will be announced at the tournament. Certified referees will be officiating the tournament.

Rules: National Federation rules will govern the tournament

Tournament officials reserve the right to alter weight classes with less than 3 participants

Headgear and singlet is recommended, but not required

If challenged, proof of age must be made available along with proof of age from the challenging wrestler

Bout lengths for all divisions will be 1:1:1

Division ages are as of Saturday, January 27 th 2018

Awards: Championship Belts for 1 st, Medals for 2 nd and 3 rd Place

Admission: $5.00 for coaches and spectators. Children 10 & under are free

In consideration of your acceptance of my entry, I hereby release Laurel Wrestling & Laurel Middle/High School, and all sponsoring bodies, their officers, and tournament officials from all liabilities, claims, or rights to damage for injuries suffered by my child directly or indirectly in training for, traveling to and from, and participating in the 2018 Laurel Wrestling Tournament.
