2015 Grapple at the Garden
Youth Wrestling Championships

Who:   Any wrestler in grades 3-5 (Elementary School Division) and grades 6-8 (Middle School Division) who has a current USA Wrestling Membership Card.

Weights:   MS: 77 (minimum 65 lbs.), 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 144, 152, 160, 175, 190, 210, 265 (minimum 211)
   GS: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, 140+ (25 lbs. maximum difference)

When:
   Friday, November 27 at the College of Mount St. Vincent, 6301 Riverdale Avenue, Bronx, NY 10471
   Wrestling will begin at 11:00 AM sharp for both divisions. Line Bracketing with wrestle backs to 4 places.
   All registration is on line. Registration will close on Wednesday, November 25 at 3:00 PM, or when 400 entries sign up.
   Weigh-ins will be held Wednesday, November 25 from Noon ~ 1:00 PM at the College. There will be two additional weigh ins on November 25.
Wrestlers who wish to change weight from the weight in which they registered must weigh in from 8:30 AM ~ 9:00 AM. This will allow the tournament administrators enough time to make changes in the brackets and still start promptly at 11:00 AM
Wrestlers who are not changing weight may weigh in from 9:15 AM ~ 10:00 AM. Wrestlers who weigh in on the day of the event after 9:00 AM MAY NOT change weight class.
Clubs that sign up for the team championship will be permitted to hold weigh ins at their club providing they allow others who are not members of their club to weigh in as well and that there is a 2 hour weigh in period that we will publish one week prior to the event. We will publish a list of weigh in sites a week prior
We will publish sites and times for satellite weigh-ins earlier that week and email everyone who has registered
   Matches for 1st through 4th place will take place at MSG on Nov 29.

Final Matches at Madison Square Garden, November 29
   Wrestlers report to the Garden no later than 6:50 AM. (You will be given a designated entrance and a credential once qualified.)
   All Elementary School and Middle School matches begin at 8:00 AM.
   Instructions will be given at the conclusion of the qualifying rounds.

Awards:
   All entrants at the qualifier will receive two tickets for the Grapple at the Garden for Sunday, November 29
   Wrestlers who qualify for the Championship rounds must use their tickets for themselves and their coach.
   NEW THIS YEAR! ~ Club Team Championship Trophy for Elementary School and Middle School Divisions.

Entry Fee:
   Individual Fee - $60.00 (which includes two tickets to the Grapple at the Garden event) Plus $4.00 Wrestlereg Online Registration Fee
   Club Team Fee - $555.00 includes the first 10 entries and includes 2 tickets for each wrestler. Each entry above the first 10 is $55.00, and includes 2 tickets for Sunday as well. Clubs can enter as many wrestlers as they wish, but only the top place winner in each weight class will score points towards the Club Championship. In order to be eligible for the Club Team Championship, a club must have a current charter with USA Wrestling. Clubs which enter using the Club Team Fee may purchase as many tickets as they wish for the discounted rate of $18.00 per ticket. All wrestlers who qualify to wrestle on Sunday MUST have event tickets for themselves and their coach.
   Team entries are not paid online. They must be paid by check. Make checks payable to MWA.
   All competitors must have a current USAW card. (Cards expire on August 31 of previous year. To purchase or renew membership, go to www.themat.com and click on membership.)

Registration: All registrations are on line. Go to www.wrestlereg.com Limit 400 entries. Wrestlers who enter as individuals WILL NOT be allowed to join a team roster or utilize the team rate after they have entered as an individual.
